About Us

The Bristol & Somerset Wedding Awards were launched in 2013 to recognise the high level of talent within the wedding industry throughout the South West region. Now in it’s fourth year we are looking to increase the number of entrants to really showcase all the great work these suppliers do for so many Bride & Grooms. Our awards are FREE to enter and suppliers can either be nominated by their clients or enter the awards themselves.

The awards work by the supplier getting their previous years clients to vote for them. The clients then have 4 questions

  • The overall standard of service
  • The quality of actual product
  • Value for money
  • The supplier’s commitment to the wedding

The client then has the option to leave a comment. These comments are passed on the supplier but on anonymous basis. (After the Awards presentation)

Who can enter?

Any wedding supplier within the demographic area can enter, from Bridal boutiques to transportation all are covered within the awards. Please note for 2018, the demographic area for eligible suppliers to enter will be expanded to include even more local suppliers who regularly work within the Bristol & Somerset region. We may look to increase this further again in the future……

How does it work?

The awards work by getting your previous years clients to vote for you, so for our 2018 awards this will be from 1st January 2017 until 31st December 2017. Every business however big or small has the same chance, whether you do 100 weddings a year or just 5 we make it fair, this is where the judging panel comes in.

**Please note there is no shortlisting process**

The Awards also support The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation who organise & fund weddings for people with a life limiting or terminal illness. The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation will also be presenting their appreciation awards on the evening of the award dinner.

So far over £14,000 has been raised for the charity since the awards began.

15th November 2017 – Early Bird Tickets Offer Ends

31st December 2017 – Entries to the awards close

14th January 2018 – Voting closes

14th February 2018 – Last Day to Purchase Tickets

23rd February 2018 – Awards Dinner & Presentation
